Meet Our Pack Leader
Hi, I’m Brooke - the pack leader and handler behind Storm & Friends.
Dogs have been a huge part of my life for over 10 years, with experience across kennels, catteries, boarding, daycare and private pet care.
Over the years, I’ve learned that every dog is different. While some thrive in busy environments, many are happiest out exploring with a familiar, well-matched group of friends. This became the foundation of Storm & Friends and the way I approach every pack walk.
Every walk is personally led by me, with your dog’s safety and wellbeing always at the forefront. I carefully match each pack, choose locations suited to the dogs I have with me, and pay close attention to individual personalities, behaviour and group dynamics. This allows the dogs to enjoy the freedom to run, explore, socialize and have fun in a safe and positive environment.
For me, it’s about much more than simply tiring dogs out. I want to get to know each dog as an individual, understand what they need and give them an adventure they genuinely look forward to.
When your dog joins Storm & Friends, they’re not just another dog on a walk - they become part of a pack where they’re known, understood and genuinely cared for.
The Story Behind Storm & Friends
Storm & Friends began with a very special rescue dog named Storm.
I adopted Storm when I was 19. She was incredibly smart, but also a very anxious girl, and learning to understand her taught me so much about patience, trust and just how different every dog can be.
Storm went everywhere with me and was by my side through so many stages of my life - including making the move from New Zealand to Perth. As I began caring for more dogs, she became more than just my own companion. She was wonderful with the dogs that came into my care and became a calm, familiar friend to so many of them.
That’s where the name Storm & Friends came from - quite literally, Storm and all the friends she made along the way.
Although Storm is sadly no longer with me, she will always be a huge part of the story behind the business. The patience, understanding and individual approach she taught me continues to influence the way I care for every dog that becomes part of the pack.
These days, my Chocolate Labrador Kahlua is often by my side, growing up amongst the pack, making plenty of friends of her own and becoming my little sidekick.
Storm started something pretty special, and I love that a little piece of her continues on through Storm & Friends.
